Comprehensive Care
The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community offers a full range of quality, comprehensive health care services to Community Members, employees, and employees' family members. Services also extend to enrolled members of other federally recognized tribes living in Scott County.
In addition to typical wellness services, the SMSC offers hearing services, classes and activities, and social services to members, employees, and other Native Americans.
Caring for our Neighbors
Since 2007, the SMSC has brought free medical, dental, and vision care to communities across Minnesota through its Mobile Unit, helping meet the Community's ongoing commitment to supporting the health of other tribal nations and neighbors in need. This mobile medical clinic, which offers free mammograms, chest X-rays, cancer screenings, diabetes screenings, a temporary dental clinic, and more, reaches those who are underserved by other health care options.
