Offer and Acceptance
If you are offered the job, you will be contacted by a recruiter, who will guide you through reviewing and accepting the offer and beginning your onboarding steps. At this time, you will be scheduled for an onboarding appointment where you will complete a background check, take a badge photo, and provide I-9 documents.

Employment Requirements
The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) is a thriving tribal government comprising various departments and enterprises offering services to SMSC members, guests, organizations, and more. Positions within the SMSC can require prior experience, education, weekend availability, or other conditions relevant to the role. SMSC Tribal Operations team members will undergo a comprehensive background check and will be asked to complete any other tests or qualification assessments based on the position requirements. Qualified candidates must provide proper documentation throughout the hiring and employment process. Candidates receiving a conditional offer must complete all pre-employment requirements before an employment offer is confirmed.

Depending on the role and qualifications it requires, candidates may be asked to complete one interview, or schedule subsequent interviews based on the level of the position.
Rehires are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Offer letters will be sent by email—just review and accept.
After accepting, new hires will be scheduled for an onboarding appointment to complete a background check, provide I-9 documents, take photo for your badge, and any other necessary onboarding steps.
You will need two forms of ID for your I-9, visit uscis.gov for a complete list of qualifying I-9 documents. If you are doing direct deposit you will need information on the account.
