
SMSC Invites the Public to Celebrate Native American Heritage Month
During the first three Thursdays in November, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) is hosting family-friendly events at Hoċokata Ṫi in honor of Native American Heritage Month. Guests will have the opportunity to learn and understand more about the Dakota people by participating in traditional games, language lessons, art activities, and more.
The following is the list of events by date:
November 3 │ 5-7pm

Art activity and movie/presentation
November 17 │ 5-7pm
Guided exhibit and collections tours
Cost is just $12 per person and includes native food sampling from Mazopiya, the SMSC-owned natural food market. Preregistration is required. Limited to ages 5 and up. Visit hocokatati.org for more information and to register.
