SMSC Organics Recycling Facility Offers Free Drop-Off Programs
Committed to being a good neighbor and good steward of the earth, the SMSC Organics Recycling Facility, located at 1905 Mystic Lake Drive South, Shakopee, MN 55379, will again offer free yard waste and pumpkin drop-off programs during the fall months. As in years past, the programs offer Scott County residents—as well as SMSC employees and team members—the opportunity to clean up their yards of unwanted brush, leaves, and other organics in an earth-friendly, sustainable way. Now through the end of October, Scott County residents and SMSC employees and team members are welcome to drop off their yard waste at the facility on Sundays from 8am-2pm. Participants are asked to bring an ID or badge when they drop off their items.
The SMSC Organics Recycling Facility will also offer a free pumpkin drop-off program to the public during the first two weeks of November. Participants are asked to remove any candles or decorations before dropping off, so as not to interfere with the composting process.
