Public Invited to Fire Station Open House at Mdewakanton Public Safety
Prior Lake, Minn. – Mdewakanton Public Safety, the fire and ambulance department of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC), is holding an open house on Wednesday, October 9, from 6-9 p.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy fire truck rides, use a fire hose, tour the fire station, and learn tips on preventing home fires. This event is part of U.S. Fire Prevention Week.

About Mdewakanton Public Safety
Mdewakanton Public Safety is a full-time, professional fire and ambulance department staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Mdewakanton Public Safety serves SMSC members, guests and patrons of the SMSC, and residents of nearby communities by request through mutual aid agreements. Each month the department responds to an average of 140 calls with 60 medical transports.
